Your data, in plain words
StudySalary runs no ads and no analytics trackers, and you can use the whole app without an account. Here's what we keep, where, and how you can wipe it.

This page sums up how StudySalary handles your data. It isn't legal advice. If anything here is unclear, ask us.
If you don't sign in
Your progress lives in your browser's storage on this device: salary, portfolio, streaks, tasks, companion and settings. It never reaches our servers. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it.
If you sign in
We keep your email address so you can sign in, plus one copy of your progress so it syncs between devices. Supabase runs our sign-in and database. Google sign-in only asks for your name, email and profile picture. It never touches your Gmail.
Study Hall
When you join a study room, other people see your companion, the display name you pick and whether you're focusing or on a break. They don't see your email, salary, tasks or streak.
Daily reminders
If you turn on reminders, we store your browser's push address, the time you chose, your time zone and a random guest ID. That's all we need to send one nudge a day. Switch reminders off in Settings and we delete the record.
Stock prices
Your browser asks our server for prices, and our server fetches them from market data providers (Finnhub, Twelve Data and Yahoo Finance). Those providers see our server, not you.
Hosting
The site runs on Vercel. Like most hosts, Vercel keeps short-lived server logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the service secure and working.
Deleting your data
Signed in? Open Settings and use Delete my cloud data. As a guest, clear this site's data in your browser. You can also email usand we'll remove it for you.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
